I often fluctuate between the feelings of success or failure when it comes to where I am in life. Sometimes it feels like I'm not building anything at all... like I'm standing still. But even standing still, I am observing the movement of life around me and learning how choices, events, relationships, voices... all of them bounce off of each other, creating movement in stillness, building a foundation of understanding to expand on. I may not be building the sturdy brick house I someday long to live in with my future family—but the foundation is what holds the house, it has to be strong enough to withstand all life has to offer. And that is why I am proud of the life I am building.
